How did you settle on the new colour ways Papaya, Mango, Coconut, Denim and Avocado?
This season we chose colours that are playful and nostalgic — Feel-good hues that channel a sunny disposition. Reminiscent of the tropics and with a refreshing sense of fun, we chose colours that are truly uplifting. These tutti-frutti shades sit alongside a new neutral - Coconut. This offering is ideal for mix-and-matching - even with previous Signature collections with five colours that compliment every skin tone.
How is this collection using sustainable fabrications and any new elements that make this range different from the last?
All of our swim is cut from sustainable ECONYL® rib fabric developed by Zulu & Zephyr. Made from regenerated nylon - to ensure our product is better for the planet and with a UPF50+ sun rating. Our lining is also made from ECONYL®. GOTS Certified Organic Cotton is our choice of fabrication for our cover up selections, including the Signature Shirt and Short. We’ve updated our swim hardware to coconut, a shade the compliments each colour in the collection - adding a subtle new design detail to our pieces.

What are the new shapes and can you tell us a little bit about them?
What’s so wonderful about having a collection run year round is that we receive a lot of feedback from our lovely customers. This means we can make adjustments/tweaks to our styles, offering our ZZ girls exactly what they’re after.
This year we’ve added a beautiful new one piece - The Signature Bralette Onepiece - which features soft bust cup panelling & a flattering scoop back. We love that this style has thick fixed straps, making it a perfect option for those with bigger busts. It’s supportive but still feminine.
Our Signature Bandeau Top has had an update and now features thick removable straps, making it even more versatile. Styled back with apparel, it doubles as a great crop top for beach-and-beyond.
A new addition to our top offering is the Signature Crop Bralette Top. A sporty style top that has a minimal feel, designed to transcend seasons. The Signature Curve Tie Brief now features a subtle curved waistline. This detail means it to be worn low or high on the hip, elongating and flattering for a woman’s figure.
Our apparel offering has also been refreshed! Set dressing is key to ZZ and we’ve included a new shirt and short crafted from a lightweight organic cotton. New to the collection is our Signature Knit Bike Short. Tightly knitted and with a soft hand feel, these are a perfect update to a classic bike short. Wear with the oversized Signature Shirt for a relaxed, on-the-go look.

Your go-to styles from the collection and why?
As we emerge from various lockdowns, I’m feeling adventurous and in the mood for some mood enhancing pops colour to compliment my fairly neutral wardrobe. My picks would have to be Papaya, Avocado and of course, Coconut. The combination of these three shades gives me all the summer fruit bowl feels and evokes that carefree summer spirit I’ve been yearning for.
The Signature Curve Tie Brief worn with the Signature Triangle Top in Coconut, will be my go-to combo for it’s minimal coverage and timeless appeal. Styled back with the Signature Shirt in Avocado (coming soon).
For days spent surfing, I’ll be wearing the Signature Simple One Piece in Coconut with the Signature Boy Short in Papaya worn over. A nostalgic take on layering, I’ll be having fun with playful mix-and-match combinations.
