Tell us, where did the inspiration start for July?
There is a beauty in Simplicity. We're drawn to pieces that effortlessly stand-out while being comfortable enough to wear day after day. So we wanted to keep July low key and wearable - the clean lines and versatility of pieces speak more to practical approach to dressing.
Inspiration for colours & fabrications?
Keeping colours refined for the colder month, we stuck to natural, cream and crisp white - a palette cleanser synonymous with fresh beginnings. The neutral tones are livened through a variety of fabrications and textures.
Embroidered logo cotton fleece and textured knitwear work together with lightweight linen and dressy sateen to offer the perfect balance of uncomplicated styles designed to be worn time after time.
A thoughtful curation of pieces to be styled together and can be worn with a myriad of looks.
From the crinkle sateen of the Cruise pieces to the lightweight linen of the Foam, Surfari is designed to be your go-to for day to night. When it comes to closet staples, few a more quintessential than crisp oversized shirting and a clean, wide leg pant.
Talk us through designing July with seasonality in mind?
Bearing in mind that July is still cold, we were sure to include pieces that are effortless yet elevated - enter the Whitewash knit set and Endless cotton rib story. Our loungewear sets have become a ZZ signature, playing with textured knitwear and a unique cotton rib, we've developed sets that are fresh yet timeless.
We designed the Endless swim pieces with comfort and versatility in mind - functional but feminine. What the simplicity of a neutral swimsuit allows: a focus on texture, on detail and on the body itself. Using our towelling stripe rib fabric, the pieces can be styled back with apparel giving them infinite wearability.
By sticking to a fresh, neutral palette in key silhouettes for July, we wanted to pave the way for warmer days and include no-fuss pieces that will carry you through the season and beyond.
