How did you land the role at ZZ's new Byron Bay store?
It was actually quite a coincidence! I thought one day I'd look online to see what roles were available in Byron Bay, and to my surprise Zulu & Zephyr were hiring for the first ever store. It was instant excitement, so I thought I would go for it and if it was meant to be, it will be. A few days later I got an invitation for an interview, then I attended a second interview where I landed the role as a casual. It wasn't until I had worked a week at the store where I was promoted to Store Manager. It has been amazing ever since.
What are your favourite pieces hanging in store right now?
There are a few pieces I am loving in store right now.
The Balconette bikini top in Powder Blue - the structure of this top makes going to the beach fashionable! That's what I love about the style.
To go with the Balconette, the skimpy brief is perfect for tanning. I love the Powder Blue, it is a colour I haven't seen with bikinis before. Coming in to the warmer months it is so exciting to be shopping for bikinis.
I am also loving the Sunday Playsuit - the fabric is so soft and it feels amazing to wear. You can pair it with your favourite sneakers for a casual lunch or dress it up with some heels for an evening out.

Favourite part of the store to hang out in?
The bay seat by the fitting rooms is my fave! I spend a lot of time by the fitting rooms helping with sizing and styles. The atmosphere is so peaceful, with the dim lighting and the music playing. It is almost like a little hideaway in the shop.
Most commented on nook?
The lounge area in the middle of the store. The first thing customers say when they walk in (apart from the amazing floor tiling) is "that couch!" They love it, and they go and sit on it haha. It's just a great space, especially if boyfriends/husbands are shopping with their ladies.
Before work and after work ritual?
As soon as I wake up I have to eat breaky, I am always starving when I wake up. So either a fruit smoothie or some vegemite toast. After I have fuelled my body I always shower, I just love starting the day off fresh. I feel it clears my mind for the busy day ahead.
After work I aim to do a workout either at home or a walk along the beach. If I am not doing that I am running to the supermarket to grab something for dinner, catching up with friends or going home to hang out with my hubby.
Best performing style this week?
The signature swim is always our most popular. This week is has been the Balconette top with an assortment of bottoms, in the Powder Blue of course. As soon as our customers see the Powder Blue they are instantly in love.
